Amazing Victoria, Australia

Hey hey! Waiting for my plane back to Sydney, after few days down in Victoria, the region on the southern part of Australia (if you exclude Tazmania!).

First info: weather is kind of British style over here (of course warmer). There has been sun, rain, wind, clouds, hot, cold all in an hour for the four days I have been staying here (yes I know it is not long but I have my three-months-old friends I need to get back to in Sydney).

So I arrived in Melbourne – well not actually, in Avalon and I even lost a flight because of this – the evening of Thursday in the neighbourhood of Frankston, south of the city, hosted by a great vegan Couchsurfer. The following day we headed to town together for a visit to the CBD, really chaotic and overcrowded, the wonderful City Library and the fancy deck area around Flinders Square!

At that point it started raining cats and dogs and we hopped on the team line n. 1 to head to southern beach, where the ISKON Temple is! There we meditated a bit and had an amazing Indian lunch! In that party of the city, houses look expensive and nicely decorated! I don’t have many pictures as I don’t feel very comfortable taking pictures of people’s houses!IMG_20181214_121210.jpg

And at that point, sun was out and temperatures up! We stopped at the beach to chill a bit and enjoyed the sun, that disappeared in an hour time!digBy then, I was back to the CBD in time to look for shelter in the library!

Then I had an interesting night at the Nomads Hostel, were loud music was playing and 20 years old travellers partying (yes, I felt all of my 32 years).

Following morning, hopped on a train to Geelong, a town an hour away from Melbourne, where Lucy, a friend of mine, lives with her daughter. Being of Italian origins, Lucy has many friends of the Italian community here, which was fun to meet!

And yesterday, we did this amazing day out to the coast! First stop: Queenscliff, where ferries leave to reach the other side of the Bay, called Sorrento! (Quite a funny thing for an Italian). And then, off to the Great Ocean Road, a famous attraction here in Australia!

And now back to the city!
